About us
AlexFlowers is a plant nursery located in the vicinity of Riga. Latvia's climate is believed to be well suited to perennial cultivation. There is both real winter and warm summer! The selection of varieties in our collection focuses on peonies from the Soviet Union, modern Russian, Ukrainian and Kazakh breeding, as well as European, American, New Zealand and Swedish breeders. Iris varieties are mainly from Russia and Ukraine, but there are also innovations from the world's leading breeders. We take care not to send the wrong variety - only plants that have flowered are sold.
On quality
To ensure the quality of our plants, we carefully monitor their health. The nursery is registered with the State Plant Protection Service (SPS). This means soil samples are taken and the inspector also checks the plants twice a season on the spot for signs of disease. All seedlings are accompanied by a plant passport. Last year, the heat treatment of peony seedlings was successfully tested to ensure that buyers are assured that they are free from unwanted living organisms. We take care not to send the wrong variety - only plants that have flowered are sold.

All the flower photos on this website were taken in our garden. We do not process the photos in any way. Only colour variations are possible due to the lighting match and also due to the technical characteristics of the camera.
